Sunday night footy with nowhere to be on Monday. The calendar doesn't line up like this often.
Roosters v Knights, Sunday 4 October, every screen in the brewery on the one game. Kick-off is 6.30pm Queensland time. New South Wales flicks to daylight saving that morning and we don't, so it's 7.30pm in Sydney. Trust the clock on our wall.
The Knights have gone from the bottom of the ladder last year to their first grand final since 2001. The Roosters are back for the first time since 2019. And with no Queensland side in it, the whole room gets to pick one.
Put your name in the stein of the side you're backing. Entries close at kick-off, so get here early. Back the winning team and you're in the draw: one name gets pulled at full time and takes a case of any of our beer and a tee of any style. Free, 18+, and you have to be in the room when it's drawn.
Monday's a public holiday, so there's no rush home. Kitchen's open. Full terms are on the bar.
